How It Will Work –

Click on the following buttons to get some brief answers on how the conference will work. Another website is being developed that will give more information about the conference and allow you to register. This website will be available by November 1, 2020.

Registration

Registration will open soon. A conference website is being built and will be available by November 1, 2020. Conference attendees will pay one fee and be able to access all the webinars live or on-demand throughout the entire year.

Fees

The early-bird fee to attend all conference webinars live and on-demand is $400. This price will be good through the first quarter of 2021. Deadline to register at the early-bird rate is March 31, 2021.

On April 1, 2021 the cost for attending all the webinars will be $450.

Once someone registers for the conference they will be able to access all webinars that have already taken place through the conference website. Once they have viewed the on-demand webinar they may receive credit for having attended the webinar.

This fee is a reduction of 20 percent from the most recent PGTS Conference in Indianapolis which was $500 for the early-bird rate and $550 for the normal rate. As always we have attempted to keep the fee as low as possible, but even with a virtual conference there are several costs. The PGTS Conference Planning Committee has tried to provide the best possible conference and have succeeded in bringing in top-notch nationally known speakers, in and out of planned giving.

With a total of 29 CPEs available the average cost is about $15 per CPE. When compared to the cost of other types of CPE, such as CPA or Attorney CPE, this conference is providing high-quality continuing education and a very inexpensive rate.

Please also keep in mind, there are other significant cost savings by not having to pay for travel expenses.

Live Webinars

Webinars will start at 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and will take place on either the first or second Thursday of each month. Each quarter will have a two-hour plenary session and five one-hour breakout sessions. You are encouraged to attend as many live webinars as you like.

Each session will also be recorded and made available on-demand for those who can’t attend live. The only exception is the roundtable discussions as these breakout sessions will not be recorded.

Links to view the webinars, either live or on-demand, will be available through the conference website that is scheduled to be launched on November 1, 2020.

On-demand Webinars

All webinars, with the exception of the roundtable discussions, will be recorded and made available on-demand through the end of 2021. On January 1, 2022 the webinars will no longer be available.

Plenary Sessions

Each plenary session will take place on the first Thursday of the quarter and will last two hours. The first twenty minutes will be a devotional by Pastor John Bradshaw from It Is Written. The remainder of the time will be for the speaker, and there will likely be time for a Q&A period at the end.

Special Plenary Session

There is a special plenary session scheduled for Aug 19, 2021. At this plenary session Director Dennis Carlson and Associate Director Scot Coppock will give their regular State of the Division Address where they will update everyone on some of the developments in PGTS within the North American Division.

In addition, the Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony will take place where we will honor the life and legacy of one of our brothers or sisters who has made a tremendous impact on the ministry of Planned Giving & Trust Services.

The special plenary session will last two hours and will be worth one PGTS CPE.

Breakout Sessions

The breakout sessions will take place on either the first or second Thursday of each month and will last for one hour. These sessions have been organized by tracks to help attendees know how the information will be directed. Attendees are not limited to any one track, and you can attend as many sessions as you’d like from as many tracks you’d like.

The tracks are;
* Donor Centric
* Organizational Focus
* Legal Regulations
* Canadian
* Roundtable Discussions

Roundtable Discussions

Each quarter roundtable discussions will be made available. These sessions will consist of a number of rooms with a variety of topics. Each session will have a limited number of people who can join in order to facilitate a robust discussion. If the number of people who want to join the discussion exceed the number limit more rooms will be opened up for that discussion topic. These webinars will only be live. They will not be recorded and will not be available on-demand. The sessions are worth one PGTS CPE.

PGTS CPE

Each plenary session will be worth two CPE and each breakout session will be worth one CPE. A total of 29 PGTS Continuing Professional Education credits is available throughout the year. PGTS Certified personnel may earn as many CPEs as they would like by attending the sessions either live or on-demand through the conference website. In order to receive credit for having attended the webinar each individual must log into the conference website to view the webinar. One cannot watch the webinar on someone else’s credentials and receive credit for having attended the webinar.

Each person will be responsible for reporting their own CPE through the PGTS Portal. The CPE will not be reported for you. What is reported will be checked back to the webinar logs to verify for accuracy.

Keep in mind 16 CPEs are required to maintain Active PGTS Certification on an annual basis and up to 8 CPEs may be carried forward to the subsequent year.

Additional CPE

The webinars may be reported for CSPG and CFRE continuing education. Unfortunately, because the conference is online our CPA CPE provider is not able to certify our conference so no additional CPA CPE may be earned by attending our webinars.
